A Quiet Rain

This very lush work for younger string players uses light percussion (rain stick, wind chimes, triangle, suspend cymbal-all playable by one player) and bells or piano to create an evocative soundscape. This compelling impressionistic work adds a new facet of sound to the string orchestra and is sure to enhance any concert or festival program. It was performed at Mid West Clinic in 2004 and is on the Florida State Festival list.
