Scott Irvine's transcription of the Aria that begins and ends Bachs famous Goldberg Variations is a tribute to the great Canadian pianist Glenn Gould. The arrangement is crafted to capture as much of the nuance of Goulds performance as possible, and allows very expressive and sensitive playing from all members of the ensemble.
