The title means "bright light" and this is the main feature and hallmark of the work, which evokes the traditional concept of programme music. The work features a succession of contrasting themes with an alternation of rhythmic situations and long melodic pauses and - in the final part - these elements are intensified to underline the fact that the "bright light", present throughout the piece, is the common denominator of the whole composition.
