This setting of the captivating ballad Last Rose of Summer musically captures the nature of the delicate and graceful rose. In addition to the colorful scoring, there are opportunities to feature optional soloists with this moving melody. A quiet and tranquil conclusion aptly portrays the symbolic withering rose at the end of the season. Transcribed from my Concert Band version published by Grand Mesa Music that received the top 100 recognition for new music by Band World magazine in 2016.
